This pint sized worm farm is the perfect plastic free toy for any mini scientist or budding environmentalist! From food waste to nutrient rich soil, with no smells or bugs, kids can watch and experiment with nature’s recycling process right at home. These wiggly pets are easy to keep, they never need to be walked, groomed or sent to the vet and the best part? They eat your food scraps!

The studio is made up of two trays for vertical migration of worms, making harvesting the castings easy! When the worm poop is ready for harvest, kids can use the nutrient rich compost for planting projects indoors and out. The learning continues first hand while they experience the benefits of healthy chemical free fertilizer made from their food waste.

The mini studio comes with our beautifully illustrated Worm Parenting Guide which shows you everything you need to know to set up, feed and look after your new pets, along with some cool experiments to try as the worm population grows. Dig in and let the fun begin!

| Red wiggler worms have to be purchased separately, and we recommend getting them from a local source

Great Classroom Project

Thanks to Akil for putting this amazing Box of Life project together. It has been up and living for about 2 months now and is a huge success! It is so incredible to watch the expression on the faces of everyone who is involved in the project when we feed the worms and do our counts. Everything is working just like Akil said it would and my students are able to have many cross curricular lessons based on this vermiculture project. We are looking forward to watching the project evolve as we progress in this process. Thanks Akil

A great way to teach students about lifecycles and composting. My class absolutely loved it and are now all working on becoming more sustainable! Great product and activity for families or classrooms.
